Ok, so I have had some people ask me what I use to draw with. Well they aren’t looking for the standard "pencil" reply that I have been known to give. So here it is, the arsenal or at least the main parts of it. First I typically use the Automatic Pencil .05 mm usually loaded with 2h or h lead. I typically use the Staedtler pencil. For quicker or rougher sketches/layouts I use the Lead Holder with, again a 2H or H lead. With the Lead Holders you of course need the Lead Pointer. Then for the mistakes, (yep they happen)I have a few erasers. I've got the Tuff Stick clickable stick eraser and the Pentel Clic Stick Erasers. They are basically the same, the main difference I have noticed is the Tuff Stick is more solid and smaller; which for me equals more control. The Clic Stick's are not a firm, and honestly I've broken off more tips with the Clic Sticks than the Tuff Sticks. For the really big mistakes I've got a large rubber eraser again Staedtler, and a kneaded eraser for the smudges. Add in an eraser shield to protect the lines you want to keep and you've got my secret formula for cleaning up your basic line work. Next I Ink the lines using various methods. If I'm going for the high quality work I use the Rapidograph Technical pens. I'm more of a Technical Inker; however I have used the Pen Nibs before. So I have the Pen nibs shown with a standard holder, I also have the ever popular Hunt Crowquil 102 pen. I don't feel that I have as much control with the pen nibs, but I'm working on that. Also there are brushes for inking larger areas. Some artists use nothing but brushes to ink their work. I have the upmost respect for them. That takes an incredibly talented and steady hand. My preference for ink is Higgins Black India Ink, I also use the Pelikan India ink at times. Of course there are lots of different ruling tools. Rulers, Triangles, T-Squares and Various Templates. For coloring, well I'm working on mastering photoshop, but I've got almost a full set of the Prisma Color markers and color pencils. Yep, I've got quite a bit in my arsenal of artistic weapons.
